Porn actor Stormy Daniels met with prosecutors at the request of the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, in relation to the hush money payments she received during the 2016 election campaign. She has agreed to be available as a witness in the ongoing investigation. Former president Donald Trump’s former fixer Michael Cohen also completed his testimony as investigators continue to step up the probe. Meanwhile, exiled Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui, a former Trump aide, was arrested on fraud charges.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is facing scrutiny from former president Donald Trump and the public over remarks made about Ukraine’s war with Russia, as he prepares for his run for the White House. Conservative Texas Representative Chip Roy has endorsed DeSantis for president, suggesting that DeSantis look beyond Trump for the 2024 GOP nomination. Videos have emerged showing hecklers using Trump’s new insulting nickname for DeSantis, “Tiny D”.

Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki, now a host on MSNBC, criticized Fox News presenter Tucker Carlson for intentionally sharing disinformation with viewers in order to retain his job and make money. The Trump Media & Technology Group, which owns Truth Social, was probed by federal prosecutors for $8m money laundering, following loans with potentially dubious origins from a trust that passed through Paxum Bank. Trump and DeSantis have united in their argument that stopping Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is not a vital US strategic interest.
