Actor Jeremy Renner, star of the Avengers franchise, suffered a near-death experience when he was run over by a snowplow on New Year’s Day this year. The injuries that Renner suffered were extensive and included more than 30 broken bones, a collapsed lung, and a punctured liver. Since then, the actor has stayed out of the public eye, but recent images have revealed that Renner has made an amazing recovery. He took his family to Six Flags for a day out, where he drove around the amusement park on a motorized scooter.
Renner has recently spoken about the event and described how he stepped out of the snowplow cab to make sure his nephew was safe because he was worried that he might get crushed between the plow and another vehicle. Fearing that his nephew was still in danger, Renner jumped back onto the track, but he was pulled under the snowplow and run over, receiving life-threatening injuries.
The actor’s recovery appears to be remarkable. Renner, who has taken to social media to post his amusement park pictures, is seen looking healthy and well, and he commented that he was “Leading the way Best I can Spring Break 2023!!!” The video that Renner posted on Instagram demonstrated his recovery and showed that he was capable of operating a motorized scooter. This was something, given the extent of Renner’s injuries and that he was unable to walk after the accident. It is not yet clear when Renner will return to acting, but it is hoped that it will not be long before he is back on set.
Renner carries an enthusiastic fan base worldwide, and his friend and co-star, Chris Hemsworth, reaffirmed this on his social media pages. Hemsworth shared a video of Renner on Instagram, captioning it “I mean slowly now!!! Don’t want to damage more of yourself @renner4real #avengersendgame @avengers.” Endgame director Anthony Russo also expressed his delight at Renner’s recovery, stating that he is happy to see him make such a speedy recovery. Renner would appear to have bounced back from a serious accident in a record time, and fans worldwide are hoping to see him back on the big screen soon.
